Description
Read carefully before ordering. A minimum order of $150 is required for wax dipping appointments to be made.
We use a Paraffin & Microcrystalline blend to increase longevity in wooden bee boxes and equipment. The wax helps to water and weatherproof bee equipment. The blend allows for higher temperature and a harder finish than if dipped in wax alone.
Each box, lid, entrance reducer, shim, or bottom board is a single item. Please add 1 item to your cart per item you need dipped. You can dip new or used equipment.
We dip each item for 12-15 minutes to ensure the wax has time to penetrate while the heat can boil/evaporate out existing moisture within the box.
This is a time-consuming and expensive process for us, but the value is worth it to ensure our investment in woodenware would last as long as possible.
What to expect:
- We have a minimum charge of $100 so if you have fewer than 10-15 items please keep that in mind
- You’ll bring your items to our farm
- We’ll set a pickup date that works for both our schedules
- Pick up your boxes and enjoy the protection of wax-dipped boxes – they last longer!
